Custom section header slides were designed for the different types of slides within their huge database.

As well, animated flow chart series were created in order to convey complex processes within the company.

Slide Database and custom shows - How to

The reason for creating custom shows are many: repetition consistency and available HD space being only a few.

A speaker may want to limit his presentation to a few of his regular slides for a specific audience or rearrange them for whatever reason, without having to create a whole new show.

Custom shows can be created within a few minutes, if your slides are properly titled, using the title box on each slide. If no slide title is to be seen on a specific slide, you should still name your slide and hide the text by either placing it behind an object or making it the same colour as your background. All this will become clear when you start using the slide navigator during a presentation, or while constructing your custom shows.

To create a custom show, first open a blank presentation. Create a series of slides to be used as your database, and save your presentation. To create your first custom show, go to the "slide show" menu \ "customs shows \ and click on "new."

A separate window will appear for you to define the list of slides for your custom show. Here you'll find out if you've used the slide title box properly (as I mentioned above); the title to each slide will appear on the list at left, otherwise"slide#" will appear.

Copy each slide required for your first custom show, into the box at right, using the arrow button, then rearrange the order if necessary.

Name your custom show and click OK to save it.

Test your show by activating it in "slide show mode." Go to the "Navigator" icon, or right click anywhere on screen while your presentation is running. A menu will appear. Choose "go" then, "custom show"and choose from your list of custom shows.

Any number of custom shows can be created, edited or deleted as your needs change. As well, any custom show can be accessed on the fly, through the navigator icon at the bottom left of your screen. Specific slides, whether part of this custom show or not, can also be accessed from your navigator icon..

A great way to keep consistency within an organization, when there are many people accessing the same series of slides.
